US-Dollar in freefall: From Keynes to Kenyans

The Fed has been pumping out vast amounts of money into the financial system in order to fight the recession. The benchmark interest rate (FFR) is meanwhile at zero. The Dollar is in freefall. On the other hand dealers expect Kenya’s currency to remain firm to the year’s end. Lacklustre dollar demand amid good greenback flows from abroad lifted the Kenya Shilling, says Reuters.
